Merrick Photography - Studio Information

My name is Nigel Merrick, and I'm the photographer and owner of Merrick Photography, currently located in Oakland, TN, about 25 miles east of Memphis.

I first opened the studio in 2004 in Memphis after spending four years as a professional underwater photographer and film maker in the Egyptian Red Sea and the Caribbean. In December 2007, after Kathy and I were married, I moved the photography studio to our new home in Oakland.

I highly value continuing education and self-improvement and am continually working to improve on all fronts, both artistic and technical. As an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and a member of the Professional Photographers of America, I am involved in a continual state of learning from these wonderful organizations, as well as from other professional photographers who are my mentors in the field.

A big thank-you goes out to my family, friends and my inspiring and ever-growing community of clients for whom I've had the great privilege to work. The support and encouragement I've received from those around me since I first opened the doors of the photography studio and more has been simply overwhelming.
